A Jersey Finance office is due to be opened in Mumbai on Tuesday and on Friday Treasury Minister Philip Ozouf is due to sign a tax treaty with the Indian revenue minister in Delhi.

Much of the first day’s activity was taken up with meetings between the key players in the Jersey party and the public relations business that acts for the Island in India.

The managing partner of Alaaya PR, Jimmy Mathew, worked with the Jersey Finance team on finalising a schedule for Senator Ozouf, Jersey Finance chief executive Geoff Cook and director of international finance at the Chief Minister’s department, Martin de Forest Brown.
