Lars Alexandersson said that the States-funded scheme which helped Islanders with the cost of going to the dentist needed an overhaul.
‘We know that families cannot afford dentists, and a solution needs to be found to this problem,’ he added.
Mr Alexandersson made the comments following the publication this week of a damning government report which concluded that people were not visiting their dentist because of the high cost.
