The 20-year-old former Miss Battle of Flowers came through her round of 32 match, beating Saritha Cham Nong from Malaysia 5-1 however, she could not overcome the challenge of Wales’ Janette Howells yesterday afternoon.

O’Sullivan said: ‘I shot so well in my first match against my Malaysian opponent. But up against the girl from Wales, who I have beaten many times in the past, I think I got too relaxed and didn’t shoot as well as I had.’
