Jersey College for Girls student Sarah Watson took the crown at a contest on Saturday night.
The 18-year-old, whose interests include sports, singing and playing the piano, beat off competition from 13 other girls to take the title.
Speaking immediately after being crowned, she said: ‘When they said I had won I thought they had made a mistake. I’m still shaking. I just can’t believe it.’
