Bravo! But what about food for the local bands?

COULD we through your columns thank the organisers of this year’s Jersey Live music festival.
We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the music and the excellent organisation, and how lucky we were with the weather.
However, talking to various local Jersey bands we were surprised to learn that while they had been given free entry (how else could they have played!), they were not offered any complimentary food or drink or indeed any payment for theirs gigs.
Can we presume that the UK bands received the same treatment? If not, then surely the organisers could support the local grown talent more by at least giving them the same treatment as every other entertainer.
We are, however, looking forward to next year’s event when, perhaps, the organisers will have taken note of the above.
