With two events on Monday those in Class X and A squads were firing competitions at 100 yards and Yates finished 16th with 379 ex 400 in the first event and 11th with 380 ex 400 in the second to secure a top ten place.
With warm conditions and fresh variable winds the competition was difficult but the Jersey contingent rose to the challenge with Kevin de Gruchy shooting 368 in the first and taking 11th with 380 in the second as team-mate Steve Le Couilliard fired 378 and 366 respectively.
The Class B and C squads shot events at 50 metres with Richard Bouchard firing well to take 11th overall with 383 ex 400 in the first event and 384 ex 400 in the second.
