JERSEY’S newly-selected U11 netball squads will get to play their first competitive games when they face teams from Redbridge this weekend.
Seventeen players have been picked to play in the annual fixture after 62 hopefuls turned out for trials in September.
Jersey are the defending champions, having won both matches against Redbridge Yellow and Redbridge Blue last year, and the new recruits hope to retain that title when they play on 7 February.
Coach Danny Simon said: ‘The girls are really keen and have been training hard every week since beginning of October.
