ACCIES A scored a good win in Division I of the Deutsche Bank Winter Netball League, taking top points and a four-goal lead from St Lawrence B.
In a close tie at Les Quennevais on Tuesday night, both sides played a well-spirited and fast flowing netball match, with Accies showing focus and determination to claim vital points in the final three quarters.
It was Accies’ height in the shooting circle that proved their strength – Verity Simon and Cordelia Overland consistently reclaimed and converted rebounds into goals.
St Lawrence fought hard, and the game could have gone either way, but Accies held onto their lead for a worthy 39-35 win.
