JERSEY Rugby Club will start their London I campaign away to Tring RFC, who were also promoted at the end of last season, as winners of London North II.
Jersey, of course, earned their highest ever level in league rugby by finishing second in London South II then winning a play-off, 15-0, over the North division’s second-placed side Staines.
Tring, who lost three league matches last term compared to Jersey’s one, play in Herfordshire, at Cow Lane, and are a Wasps RFC community partner. That opening fixture is on 13 September and is followed by another away day to old rivals Sutton and Epsom, promoted to the division the season before last, seven days later.
The first home London I fixture at St Peter is sure to pull in a large crowd and is against North Walsham, relegated from National League III South, on the 27 September.
