EXCELLENT shooting by Richard Benest gained him the Grand Aggregate honours at the JRA’s Spring Prize Meeting over the weekend.

Benest, who did not drop a point on the Crabbé range, was five points clear of David Le Quesne and Bruce Horwood.

The event started on Saturday with Wally Langley winning Crabbé I with 105.17. Benest won Crabbé II with 150.21, Crabbé III with 100.19 and Crabbé IV with 100.14.

Debbie Thompson won the long-range event at Les Landes with a score of 103.13. Benest also won the Harrison, Sunday, Berman and Edna Parker aggregates.

Keith Trowbridge of Barbarians won the Martelli Unlimited Aggregate.

The National Rifle Association (NRA) won their annual match against the JRA on Monday, beating their hosts at Crabbé by just two points. The NRA’s top scorer was Glynn Barnett with 150.23 and Graeme Harris was the JRA’s top scorer with 149.17.

The JRA won the Reserves match by ten points and also triumphed, by 24 points, against the Barbarians.
