£10 million for the six months to the end of September.

First London Securities floated on the London Plus stock market in October last year and has just declared its first public set of results.

It is the holding company of a group that acquires and consolidates investment and merchant banking businesses internationally.

St Saviour resident Kevin Leech is the largest shareholder with 34.5% and the investment in First London is further evidence of his remarkable business recovery.

The other Islander with a declared holding – of 3.3% – is David Kirch, who for the second time gave a £1 million Christmas gift in the shape of supermarket food vouchers last December to thousands of Island pensioners,

A total of 21 million shares in First London are held by a company named Condor Ventures Ltd. That company is part of the Condor Trust, of which Mr Leech is a beneficiary. Mr Kirch’s two million shares held through Channel Hotels and Properties Ltd were valued at about ?1.5 million when the business was floated in London.
