After six years of business, John and Jane Werrin are packing up the shop at Thistlegrove on the Grande Route de St Laurent and moving onwards and upwards to bigger premises in St Ouen. With a restricted retail area and problems with parking at Thistlegrove, the Werrins have spent many years looking for somewhere else to host the assortment of books, bric-à-brac and clothing. And with a nine-year lease, Beau Pré Farm in St Ouen is the answer. ‘I’m a bit sad but you’ve got to move on to progress,’ said Mrs Werrin. ‘I hope it will be equally successful at Beau Pré, if not more successful. It’s three times bigger with parking for 40 cars.’
