Despite suffering with a slight stomach injury, Evans managed three matches yesterday.
He played Patrick Ogier of Guernsey in the morning and in a close affair Evans nicked a 7-6, 7-5 victory.
He now plays Bermuda’s Andy Bray for a place in the final.
Evans paired up with Gareth Roberts in the men’s doubles but they lost their last-16 match against Rhodes’ Nikos Knotakis and Sebastian Politis 7-5, 7-6, while Matt Harris and Simon di Meo had a walkover in their first match.
Katie Gouyette also featured in three matches yesterday, first playing compatriot Francesca Dubras in the last 16, winning 6-3, 6-2, but once again coming unstuck against Menorca’s Laura Boll Magur 6-1, 6-2.
There were no hard feelings as Dubras and Gouyette joined forces in the women’s doubles and are into the quarter-finals after a 7-5, 6-1 win over Gibraltar’s Zoe Stagnetto and Bianca Taylor.
They will now take on team-mates Sarah Jones and Kirsten McArthur today, after the latter beat Eva Aiken and Rowena Lawrence of the Cayman Islands 7-6, 4-6, 10-5.
