The Superior Number of the Royal Court, which is convened to hear the most serious cases, was yesterday asked to show mercy to Artur Weislaw Papis. However, the court said that it wanted a report detailing an up-to-date prognosis for the defendant before making any decision. If he has little time to live, the Polish national, who needed an interpreter to stand with him in the dock, may be sentenced to a fraction of the eight years he could expect otherwise.
