The Senator is due before the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel on Thursday morning for a general six-monthly update on various matters under his remit. Deputy Patrick Ryan , who chairs the panel, says it is clear that the promised ‘level playing field’ of financial jurisdictions taking the same steps to change rules will not happen, but that Jersey is pursuing a policy of getting good ‘references’ from other jurisdictions in the form of tax information exchange agreements. But on Thursday he wants to ask the Chief Minister whether that shift should be debated by the States.
