The power cut caused by an explosion at a sub-station at Mont Cochon hit around half the households in the Island, some for just 20 minutes and others for a few hours. The incident disrupted the two-part episode of the hugely popular BBC TV comedy in which the vicar, played by Dawn French, was due to be married. To make up for the inconvenience, the Jersey Electricity Company has teamed up with BBC Jersey and Cineworld to stage two free screenings on the two-part production next Monday at Cineworld.
