All 260 Normans staff in Jersey and 20 in Guernsey have been told today that they will be kept on and the new owners say they do not intend to make significant management changes.
The sale includes Norman Ltd, the Iron Stores Jersey Ltd, Nicholl’s Service Garage in Jersey and Domestic Heating Services Ltd in Guernsey.
The financial terms of the sale have not been made public and the deal is subject to the approval of the Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority.
Norman Group will retain ownership of their properties, including the Five Oaks and Commercial Buildings sites, the Esso fuel distribution business in Jersey and Guernsey, and janitorial supplies firms Huelin Agencies in Jersey and Aum in Guernsey.
