Dan Boxall (32) has been called to the Bar of England and Wales after studying at the Inns Of Court School of Law in London.
Out of 520 students, not only was he the top newly called barrister of Gray’s Inn but he was also ranked third overall.
His achievement on the Bar Vocational Course earned him a ranking in the School of Laws’ ‘outstanding’ category and he won the prestigious Barstow Scholarship.
Mr Boxall has now returned to live in the Island and works in the civil and commercial litigation department at Crill Canavan alongside Advocates Nuno Santos Costa and Damian James.
But despite being the son of well-known Jersey advocate Graham, Dan’s path into the legal profession was by no means set at an early age.
‘I had no intention of going into law so it has happened almost by accident,’ he said.
‘I had a go at practically everything else before I fell into this profession but I think it has been useful to me to be exposed to other walks of life – it may have given me a more rounded view of things than I might otherwise have had.
