The Jersey team, who have been training and fund-raising all year, will cycle 450 kilometres through some of the highest and most beautiful terrain in South America.
They depart from Lake Titicaca, and over five days will cycle to the lost Inca city of Machu Picchu, negotiating steep hill climbs and dirt tracks that rise to a staggering 4,338 metres.
The Cycle Peru challenge is sponsored by local firm Bedell Cristin, and four members of its staff are taking part.
