Trinity Constable back in for a second term

The crowd of parishioners at last night’s nomination meeting, including three former Constables, cheered and applauded after the statutory 20 minutes passed with no other nominations and Mr Gallichan was declared re-elected for a second term.

The meeting had a more serious note, however, when one minute’s silence was observed for one of Trinity’s most renowned parishioners, former Bailiff Sir Peter Crill, who died on Monday.
