Mrs Pitman, a former research assistant for the Community Relations Trust and for Senator Ted Vibert, will stand in St Helier No 2 – the current seat of JDA chairman Deputy Geoff Southern who will be standing as a Senator.
She was born in Jersey and educated at Le Squez and Le Rocquier Schools.
In a press release issued this morning, Mrs Pitman (31) said: ‘I am standing as a JDA candidate for the St Helier No 2 district elections for Deputy, because of the need to change the way Jersey is currently run.
