Convent A need to beat their B team by 34 goals to pip leaders St Clement to the title.

Convent B manager Debbie Pitman said: ‘We played very well and it was a good score for us, but goals flow much easier when you’re playing against a less strong team, and St Ouen were missing players.’ Several teams have been struggling to find enough players for these end-of-season games, rescheduled following the icy weather early in March.

Unfortunately Convent B will have that problem tomorrow night.

‘We’ll be without Sharon Ollivier, Serena Guthrie has moved up to the A team and Zara Blake, who was wing-defence last night, won’t be available either.

With our C team also playing we may have to pull reserves from the D team,’ Pitman said.

Neither Convent B or St Ouen A move from their current positions of fourth and fifth in their league.

In Division II JCG Old Girls beat St Peter 46-34.
