A campaign launched this week by LR Trading, who run Jersey and Guernsey’s bakeries, will involve schoolchildren helping to fund the Channel Islands floor of the new GOSH patient hotel.

All they have to do is collect wrappers bearing the special GOSH logo which is on five different types of 800 gm (large) Island Bake breads and hand them in at a collecting point at their school.

For every wrapper collected, LR Trading will donate one penny to the charity.

They are hoping to hand over £10,000 to the cause.

There is an added incentive for schools to bring in a mountain of wrappers – the company are to give the schools in Jersey and Guernsey which collect the largest amount prizes of £1,000 each towards student development.
