Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley has thanked her mum for being “the best grandma in the land” in a sweet Instagram post.
Tyldesley, who plays Eva Price in the ITV soap, is mum to Alfie who was born in March 2015 and she returned to the cobbles from her maternity leave in September 2015.
Sharing an adorable photo of her son and his grandmother, Janet Tyldesley, on Instagram, she praised the way that her mother looks after the little boy.

Actress Tyldesley wrote: “My mum- a GOD send!!! The best Grandma in the land.
“Riddle me this- When I have Alfie on my own, I look like a tramp, the house is a pig sty, plates don’t get washed, nor does my hair.
“When my mum has Alfie on her own – the house gleams like a palace, Alfie looks like he’s been to the spa, kitchen has had a deep clean, ironing done to perfection and all toys are put away.
“Her hair is also clean. AND he’s fully clothed. Sometimes he’s speaking Italian (not even kidding) … seriously … I need to up my mum game.

Alfie is Tyldesley’s first child, with husband Tom Pitfield who she married in May 2016.
Her current Corrie storyline sees her heartbroken after discovering that boyfriend Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward) has been having an affair with her former best friend Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon).
