JERSEY’s largest social enterprise is appealing to businessess or the wider Island community for support in helping to replace a woodshack power tool.
After “twenty years of loyal service” Acorn’s Woodshack chainsaw has stopped working and the enterprise is seeking £900 to put towards purchasing a new chainsaw.
In a post to social media, Acorn said: “Every day, our Woodshack team works hard creating beautiful creations… . we would hate to see them left stumped.”
The social enterprise is run by the registered charity the Jersey Employment Trust. The woodshack is a core element at Acorn to help provide work, training, and personal development opportunities for Islanders with disabilities and long-term health conditions.
“If you, your business, or someone you know could help towards the cost of a new chainsaw, we’d be absolutely chuffed to bits,” added Acorn.
