A WOMAN who has devoted her time to supporting a wide range of charities and community organisations has been nominated for the Volunteer/Fundraiser of the Year award.

Nominator Christina Jandron said that Helen Tre-by had made an incredible difference to the lives of countless Islanders through her selfless commitment to helping others. Ms Jandron said Mrs Treby gave her time generously in a variety of roles, including as a childminder, safeguarding lead for Happy Heroes, a Jersey ambassador for Watoto, and through her support for Fibromyalgia Jersey and many other local causes.

She added that Mrs Treby was always willing to step in wherever help was needed, never expecting anything in return.

Describing Mrs Treby as “a gift to our island”, Ms Jandron said she quietly made a lasting impact by supporting, encouraging and caring for people across the community.

She added that Mrs Treby embodied everything volunteering should represent including “selflessness, generosity and unwavering commitment”, making her a deserving nominee for the Volunteer/Fundraiser of the Year award.
