THE latest beach water quality testing has revealed all locations are now rated “excellent”, after four were found to have “unacceptable levels of bacteria” last month.
The previous poor ratings were at Plémont in St Ouen, Long Beach at Grouville, Havre des Pas and Victoria Pool, based on testing which had taken place on 18 and 19 May.
It sparked concern among Islanders headed to the sea to cool off during the heatwave over the Bank Holiday weekend and half-term break.
Previously, the government said that it believed the poor results were due to significant rainfall.
Further testing was carried out last week and an Infrastructure and Environment Department spokesperson confirmed it found all bathing waters across the Island were classified as “excellent”.
