ATF Overseas Holdings Ltd has been formally notified to change what has been described as its ‘unfair discriminatory behaviour’ by the Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities.
CICRA launched an investigation after it received a complaint from Aviation Beauport Holdings Ltd – one of the largest buyers of aviation fuel at the Airport – which claimed that ATF had refused to supply it fuel in specific circumstances and had charged it higher prices compared to other comparable customers.
ATF has refuted the claims, describing them as ‘unfounded’ and has also expressed its ‘grave concerns’ about CICRA and a redacted report of CICRA’s findings is due to be made public next week following yesterday’s announcement.
A timeframe has not been imposed on ATF for it to change its practices, however, the company could be fined if it does not comply.
