That’s the demand from director of rugby Ben Harvey as his team prepare to host Cornish Pirates in the Greene King IPA Championship tomorrow.
Jersey mustered just three match points away to London Scottish last week – while suffering their heaviest defeat of the season – highlighting the lack of penetration shown by the current squad. But Harvey insists defence is the key element of play his team must work on.
‘You win and lose games based on the strength of your defence, so that is the first thing we need to get right,’ he said.
