And his passionate ideas will certainly strike a chord with those who have long campaigned for top-class facilities for sports such as swimming, gymnastics and martial arts.

Harvey, who has, over the past four years, helped oversee Jersey RFC’s astonishing rise to National prominence, is a highly-qualified and innovative rugby coach – but he says that his call for a top-class sporting hub that will underpin Island youngsters’ sporting potential will be to the great benefit of all Jersey sports, not just rugby.

Harvey, and his young family, have ‘fallen in love with the Island,’ and he says that the Island is already a great place to bring up children.
