The woman, aged 23, claims that she was attacked in Gorey Hill at about 3.45 am.
The States police have today confirmed that the man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and is being questioned in custody at the force’s headquarters in Rouge Bouillon.
The alleged attack comes just over a week after a 28-year-old woman was assaulted in the grounds of Royal Bank Court flats in College Hill.
