JERSEY’S Island Games team are the first to benefit from funding raised by a new charitable organisation.
As reported on our news pages today the One Foundation, created by Dominion chief executive officer Ben Cooke, has been launched to help raise funds for non-profit making organisations in the areas of education, sport and culture.
One of its primary objectives is to assist in providing a funding platform for Jersey sports stars of the future.
Yesterday the charity was announced as the lead sponsor for the Jersey team going to this year’s NatWest Island Games in the Isle of Wight.
