The meeting was called to discuss the impact of the draft Island Plan, which will form planning policy in Jersey over the next ten years, on St Helier.
Parishioners voted 133 to 27 against Deputy Paul Le Claire’s amendment to the draft Island Plan, which proposed retaining the field 1248 in Highview Lane, near Channel Television, so that 45 ‘affordable’ homes could be developed on the site.
And those there also voted 83 to seven in favour of Deputy Debbie de Sousa’s plans to stop development on part of field 1219, next to Haute Vallée School.
