It is a strong indication that the event is now well-established as a prestigious and respected function in the Jersey business calendar.
With 89 applications the numbers are slightly down on last year, as a result of fewer entries for the two community awards – the Guiton Group Ambassador of the Year Award and the Garenne Group Community Award.
But Economic Development Minister Philip Ozouf said that there were a high number of entries in all categories of business, including many first-time entrants and new businesses.
