Snowdon (88) and Phyllis (84) Hamon met in 1937, fell in love and have lived happily together ever since. They are looking forward to celebrating their blue sapphire wedding anniversary today but did not know what was in store for them. Their only son still living in Jersey, Colin Hamon, and his family will visit the couple at St Ewold’s Residential Home. Messages of congratulations have been flying in. ‘We don’t really know what’s happening,’ Phyllis said. ‘We’ll have to see what they have got planned.’
A lifetime of happiness
