Andrew Green, chairman of the charity Headway Jersey, has been made an MBE for his services to the community.
A similar award has been made to David Thompson, head coach of Leonis Amateur Boxing Club, for services to young people in the Island.
Mr Green set up Headway Jersey ten years ago when he saw the need for support and services for sufferers and their families in the Island.
Mr Thompson (61), a retired prison officer, has guided hundreds of youngsters, both in and out of the boxing ring, for more than 40 years.
He has worked tirelessly to promote the sport from his club’s base at South Hill Gym, Mount Bingham, since he arrived in Jersey in 1965.
