If so, this year’s Joint Services Christmas Appeal could turn your seasonal wishes into reality.
Santa’s sleigh will this year be back to collect toys around the parishes, shoppers in town will be encouraged to donate what they can by a loyal band of tin-shakers, and the charity auction on Channel 103 will offer some fantastic lots.
But one familiar feature of the appeal has taken a fresh twist this year.
The new-style Pledge Your Wedge will now not only raise money to help families in Jersey have the best Christmas possible, but it will also give you the opportunity to give someone a very big present indeed.
Here’s how it will work.
Firstly, the appeal organisers want to hear your suggestions on who deserves to be the recipient of a good deed.
Perhaps they have had a particularly tough year; perhaps they have gone out of their way to help someone; perhaps they have worked tirelessly for a cause; or perhaps they performed a single heroic act of kindness.
The first thing to do is e-mail to jmorel@jerseyeveningpost.com your suggestions as soon as you can.
Working together, with your help and generosity, this year’s Pledge Your Wedge could make a real difference.
