Manchester City have met with Lionel Messi’s father about a potential sensational move to the Premier League club, the Sun are reporting.

The paper claim City director of football Txiki Begiristain met with Jorge Messi about a possible move to the Etihad Stadium for his striker son.

Another global star of the game could be on the move, with Spanish newspaper El Pais claiming that Cristiano Ronaldo is unhappy again at Real Madrid.

Ronaldo is currently serving a five-game ban and could reportedly leave the Bernabeu by the end of the week.

The Daily Telegraph are reporting that Chelsea have upped their pursuit of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, making a new £35million bid. The Blues are also ready to pay £32m for Leicester’s Danny Drinkwater, claim the Sun.
