Football: Another blow for Island women as Andrade quits

The former Portugal junior international – named in Jersey’s squad for the trip to Scandinavia in June – has said she will no longer train with the representative side following the departure of manager Simon Petulla and his coaching team, citing family reasons.

The striker’s announcement comes just a week after Petulla’s shock resignation, leaving the team without a permanent manager and undoubtedly one of their best players.

‘I like playing, but I want to spend more time with my family and friends.’
