The Islanders, without the in-form Lynsey Pitman in attack, were chasing a second win of the campaign after beating Ryland a week ago, but were instead forced to battle back in the final period to avoid leaving empty handed.
Jets crept inside the all-important 50 per cent margin in the closing minutes to finish 53-27 behind and return home with some consolation. They now sit seventh in PL2.
