Football: Jersey commit to Gotland Games

With the cost of the week-long event likely to exceed £1,000 per person there was uncertainty surrounding the men’s side involvement, but those concerns were alleviated by the Jersey Football Association last night.

The women’s team, who won gold on home soil last year, had already committed to their title defence.

‘It’s tremendous that the women are going to defend their title, and the men will be going there to win it as well,’ said JFA chief executive Neville Davidson. ‘It’s great for the players and great for the JFA.’

The Gotland Games are from 24-30 June 2017.
