Mystics, third in the New Zealand Conference, have won just two of their ten games this term and lie 12 points adrift of leaders Southern Steel.
The top three all progress to the finals, but after Guthrie’s side let slip a seven-goal lead against Waikato Magic on Monday – finishing 54-51 behind – they may now need other results to go their way in the final four rounds of the regular season.
‘We are starting to play some great netball, so we have to remain positive and keep the faith over the next few weeks,’ said Guthrie.
