FIXTURE congestion in the Channel Islands has led to this year’s Muratti Vase final being pushed back a fortnight to be played on Saturday 18 May.

After receiving a request from the Guernsey Football Association for a different date, the Jersey FA, through the Inter-Insular committee, agreed to move the final from Sunday 5 May to Saturday 18 May.

Charlie Tostevin, the JFA’s representative on the Inter-Insular committee, said: ‘It works out well for all the islands. Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney and our sponsors are happy to change the date due to fixture difficulties in Jersey and Guernsey.'

Who cares anyway, GFC have far bigger fish to fry, but they will still pump Jersey

Beaumont

Just what I thought would happen when Guernsey joined the leagues, we are now dancing to their tune because have far more interesting matches to look forward to

Bob Fleming

To be fair, at the end of the day the game has been moved to allow the lads and the gaffer to give it 110%, in all fairness.

Ian Holm

Bob - totally understand that, we and Beaumont were commenting on the decreasing importance of this game to GFC who have far bigger plans ahead

Bob Fleming

To be fair, at the end of the day I was being 110% completely sarcastic, in all fairness.

Donkey

Let's face it, Guernsey's prima donnas are going to hammer Jersey's one-pump chumps into the ground, a donkey victory by at least 3 clear goals.
