British Divers Marine Life Rescue had just finished returning another seal to the sea at the Ecréhous on Sunday when they were notified about the stranded grey seal.
It was taken to New Era Veterinary Hospital where vet Nick Thomas and his staff worked through the night to rehydrate the animal and treat a suspected respiratory infection.
The Fresh Fish Company donated food following an appeal from BDMLR.
On Tuesday afternoon, the pup – named Rocco – was transferred to the GSPCA in Guernsey by Island Rib Voyages, who donated their boat for free.
