On Saturday all British Airways flights were cancelled from Gatwick and Heathrow airports and the issues continued into yesterday morning.
The airline blamed a power supply issue for the outage but said there was no sign it was under cyber attack.
Hundreds of passengers faced huge delays at the check-in counters at both London airports and the airline said the IT crash had also affected their call centres.
Flights to London Gatwick were cancelled from Jersey on Saturday but BA flights from Jersey Airport were running as planned yesterday.
Islanders were also caught up in baggage chaos at Gatwick Airport when issues affected BA’s baggage system. Two flights into Jersey from London were affected over the weekend.
