Gatwick glitch leads to missing bags on flights

Both of the morning EasyJet and BA arrivals from the London airport arrived with bags missing.

The problems followed a glitch at the West Sussex airport, which led to long queues at its check-in desks and chaotic scenes being reported on social media.

Gatwick Airport officials first posted a message on Twitter shortly after 5.30 am to alert travellers to the issue, which was resolved by 9.50 am.
