Poor weather disrupts flights

Heavy rain is likely to continue for much of the day, bringing the risk of mist and hill fog.

At least one flight has already been delayed by the weather, and in a Facebook post Jersey Airport said poor visibility is likely to continue to affect flying.

They said: ‘Current poor visibility is likely to affect travel in and out of the Island until this afternoon, Jersey Met has advised us.

‘However, airline advice for passengers travelling is to check-in as planned on time.’

Meanwhile, Jersey Met tweeted that almost 10 mm of rain was recorded at the Airport this morning. That is more than fell during much of April.
