Late last year it was announced that motorists would soon start to see more volunteer patrols in areas such as Victoria Avenue, the St Aubin’s Inner Road, Queen’s Road, Vallée des Vaux and Mont à l’Abbé.
In a recent tweet, the honorary police said more officers throughout the Island were being trained to use speed guns.
They said: ‘St Helier honorary police have a team of dedicated officers who conduct regular speed detection at various times of the day.’
The St Helier honorary force tweeted to say that during the most recent speed checks, three drivers were warned to attend a parish hall inquiry and several others were given words of advice.
