Average A-level results still ahead of those for England

Participation rates in all ‘level three’ courses, which include A-levels and certain other academic and vocational qualifications, were also lower in Jersey than in England for the last academic year.

The Education Department report, released this week, showed that the prportion of A-level students achieving grades AAB or better was higher in England.

Justin Donovan, Education chief officer, said it was the Island’s goal to be ‘better than England’ and ultimately better than ‘everyone else’.
