Retired Jurat is made an OBE in palace ceremony

Jill Clapham, who was recognised in the Queen’s New Year Honours List for her services to the Royal Court and the community, was presented with the honour by the Prince of Wales.

Speaking after the announcement earlier this year, she said: ‘I’m sure, like many others who receive these awards, I don’t feel I personally deserve it but see it as recognition of the work of the organisations in which I have been involved.’

Mrs Clapham, who was appointed Lieutenant-Bailiff in 2011, retired as a Jurat in 2015.
